The Royal Association Olivaint Conference of Belgium is a inter-university centre for training and education in the exercise of responsible citizenship for a democratic society. A place of open and pluralistic contacts and dialogues, it aims to familiarize students of higher education with public life in all its dimensions and with taking responsibility in a pluralistic, multidisciplinary and plurilingual spirit while remaining independent of any political party and respectful of personal philosophical or religious choices.

An important part of the training is devoted to oral and written expression and the animation of a work team.

The quality and importance of a training of this type is evidenced both by the positions held by former members of the Conference, by the prestige and loyalty of the speakers, and by the constant assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Belgian embassies in organizing our study sessions abroad.

In 2004, the Olivaint Conference of Belgium was granted the title of Royal Association.
