“GENDER DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION IN THE WORKPLACE”
After more than 11 years within the Indirect Tax Teams of EY and Deloitte, Nora Bafrouri joined Trane Technologies (previously called “Ingersoll-Rand”) in 2017 where she is currently Assistant Tax Director. Within Trane Technologies, she leads the EMEA Indirect Tax Team based in Brussels and Dublin. She is responsible for the Indirect Tax Strategy & planning, Tax Controversy, Tax Compliance & Accounting and Tax Technology for the EMEA Region. Her expertise is the strategic advice and planning for an optimized and effective operating business model. Her focus is the implementation of internal controls and process improvement measures to enhance the Tax position and provide for a Tax Control framework to manage Tax risk and optimize the cash flow for the group.
Next to her EMEA Indirect Tax role and responsibilities, Nora is also the EMEA Chair of the Trane Technologies Women’s Network. As part of this Employee Resource Group, Nora advocates for gender balance in the workplace and strives to help creating an environment that values, attracts, and cultivates the diverse talents within the organization. Her initiatives to promote Diversity and Inclusion at Trane Technologies include the organization and moderation of events with Global Senior Executive Leaders. With the Women’s Network, Nora has put in place some development initiatives such as peer coaching sessions or a monthly EMEA Communication to help EMEA employees develop their transferable skills. Nora has also been writing some articles for the internal periodical magazine on Diversity and Inclusion and the related initiatives.
